» pink101 - Today

.
Today, a black day in America's history, is one of the milestones of MY life.
.
Three terrible murders changed the direction of my life and Martin Luther King's murder on this day in 1958 was one of them. The other two were the Kennedy brothers, John and Robert.
.
Think of what could have been.
.
It is a sad day.

A sad day indeed, but the silver lining in the clouds is that it provides us an opportunity to reflect on King's legacy.

I hit the wrong key and didn't notice it until now.
.
This "... Martin Luther King's murder on this day in 1958..." should have read "... Martin Luther King's murder on this day in 1968..."
.
That time--when those three bloody murders stole our sovereignty--destroyed a movement and through America off a wonderful course.
.
I think many people were personally affected.

.
Good question.
.
Murder truncates something that was going down.
.
That's what the Sanhedrin wanted to take place when they crucified the Man. They figured that if they killed him, his influence would end.
.
Those three men, President Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy, each had made contact with a grass roots movement in the United States. Something quite rare in our politically saturated times.
.
That grass roots movement was irrevocably connected to We the People where our sovereignty actually exists.
.
The assassination of those three men put an end to that movement we felt so deeply as a people.
.
In other words, the people who master-minded and had those three assassinations carried out, stole the sovereignty of the American people. They interjected their will on us and they got away with it--The despicably dirty low life scum!!
.
sad

.
Even more so!!
.
The effect of those three assassinations all out in the open where everyone could see them take place is that they have effectively silenced those people who would stand against them. They are the boldest of killers!! You don't go against la capo di capo if you know what's good for you and your loved ones. Who ever was involved in those murders should be skinned alive over a period of days while America celebrates their demise..
.
When Teddy Kennedy considered running for president, he changed his mind. And, so has everyone else who has sought that high office.

In response to Skinned Alive posted by pink101:

Do you also feel the perpetators of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon should be "skinned alive"?

As for Ted Kennedy, as I recall, he DID run for office - and was defeated in the 1980 Democratic primary season by incumbent Jimmy Carter.
