Pink, interesting. I can honestly say that I am aware of NO Nazis or Nazi sympathizers in my congregation. I am quite confident that they would have no desire to get involved in Sligo Baptist Church. They would not feel very comfortable there.

Don't think there are any around here, but we do have the odd Neo Nazi. My sister worked with one and all he ever did was go on about how Hitler had the "right idea" and boast about how he and his family get the odd death threat.
I think there's a KKK group in my town, though.

Just found out, Pink, that the former head of the Ohio KKK lives about 5 minutes down the road from our house. Was talking to some of my church members about it. And there is definitely a supremacist 'underground' of sorts in our area. I suspect it's not very big, but it's there.

Apparently it's reasonable to raise it about our area. I was a little taken aback by your original question, though, because I personally would have NO part in a church that was racist. Thus, if I had detected the presence of "hate groups" (of any kind) in my congregation, I never would've accepted the pastorate.

Sorry to have not answered this sooner. There are no doubt lots of secrets in the lives of Sligo Baptist Church's congregants that I don't know about. But...I have a pretty good read on the general heart of the people, and none of them would (in my view) be comfortable in such a hate group. Besides, they would've run me off long before now, after my sermons on love and the equal value before God that both genders and all races share.
