I watched it. I wish everyone did! Ugh! Makes me even more furious about the players and what's been going on - and still is! You're being kind calling him a dirt ball.

Thanks for the link. I'm glad PBS allows viewers to watch this program online. I'm halfway through it. I'll comment more later.

Our troops are standing aside and letting the political factions battle it out (literally) for power.
.
It's time for our guys to come home.

Our extrication from Iraq is not going to be easy.
.
It's like stepping in dog doodoo. No matter how hard you try, you cannot clean it off. We're stuck in a quagmire just like President Eisenhower warned us regarding the Middle East.
.
Two things Eisenhower warned us on that we have not listened to his advice; the military industrial complex, and getting into a Middle East war.
.
He was a good president.

» pink101 - Copy & Send

You can copy and send the following letter to your representatives in Congress:
.
"President Bush has publicly declared that he knew his top national security advisers discussed and approved specific details of the CIA's use of torture.
.
"The president himself now admits that he and his top advisers played a key role in creating our nation's policy of torture, a policy that goes against our most basic American values and has stained our nation's reputation as a standard-bearer for the protection of human rights around the world.
.
"From illegal kidnapping and torture by the CIA, to the abuses at Abu Ghraib, to the "enhanced interrogation" of terror suspects at Guantánamo, our nation's torture policies have come from the top.
.
"I urge you to:
.
"1. Support strenuous efforts, including the appointment of an independent prosecutor, to hold President Bush, Vice-President Cheney and other high-ranking officials accountable for their role in condoning and/or authorizing U.S. involvement in torture.
.
"2. Condemn Administration efforts to conduct military commission proceedings that allow for the use of evidence gained through torture.
.
"3. Send a powerful message to future presidents that Congress will use its constitutional powers to prevent illegal conduct.
.
"Only by taking these steps can Congress make sure such fundamental betrayals of American values and the rule of law never happen again. Please respond to this message with specifics about your personal commitment to ending U.S. involvement in torture."

.
Sign it with your name and address.
