- Is Genesis Credible?
"I...don't think a person is justified to ignore evidence, logic, and/or powerful arguments that contradict one's beliefs."
Pink responded: "How does that play with evolutionary theory compared to Creationism?"
My answer can be found in the following article...

Boiling it down to the very basics...
Take away the supernatural element and the scientific evidence indeed suggests evolution (although there are significant gaps within the theory itself). Nevertheless, naturalistic evolution is the best theoretical explanation we have for the origin of the universe AND life -- absent the supernatural dynamic.
But once you insert the supernatural dynamic into the equation, then you automatically call into question the two central assumptions that evolutions make, namely Naturalism (or anti-supernaturalism) and Uniformitarianism.
Without those presuppositions, the dating methodologies are unreliable - and there's no way science can definitively date the age of the earth or universe.
Bottom line...if God is real, then the presuppositions of science (when it comes to dating) must be called into question. If so, then the Genesis account of Creation is plausible.
