Migisi, like Dan Brown and so many others, you confuse - though, I think in Brown's case, it's deliberate - the issue of Jesus' deity with the specifics of Jesus' deity.

People can believe in something, but differ on how to explain it or understand it. This is what was going on at Nicaea. There WAS widespread agreement with Paul that Jesus was God. Hardly anyone questioned that. What was at issue were the details and interpretations of Jesus' deity.
