» pink101 - A Market Place For Ideas In response to Ravi Zacharias on Deconstructing Language posted by BrianTubbs:. But postmodernists have generally gone to the other extreme, arguing sometimes that language itself (by its very nature) is hopelessly relativistic and individualistic. . I KNOW I can use such words. The idea here is that words have been decontexualized and that they must be understood in context for us to understand the intentions of the user. We do it all the time and that is why we often use examples to make our point. . I think it is impossible to make such blanket statements that are--apparently or seemingly--designed to put post-modernism down for some ulterior reason. . This is a market place for ideas where we ours and put them on the table for further consideration. Sometimes we are able to build understanding through the process. . -- posted by pink101
