I remember my first extended visit to Vermont. I thought it was over stated.
.
My son-in-law was in Medical School at the University of Vermont. Late one afternoon, we drove up to Montreal through the bogs. When we got to the big city, we parked on a hill and walked the main shopping district. In one shop, my wife asked one of the clerks if she spoke English and she said, "No more than I absolutely have to." hah ha ha. Good one! Needless to say, we went to the next shop. It was strange being in a foreign country like that. When we go into Windsor or Sarnia just outside of Michigan, the only difference is the highway markers and the way they pronounce the word, schedule.
.
But, the landscape is beautiful in Vermont and and my ancestral roots are there; so, what can I possibly say?
.
I'll hope to go back there for a visit before I check out. happy
.
