Things are moving rapidly toward a deep split in the Republican Party that will probably guarantee a win for the Democrats in 2008. Check out this op-ed.

It articulates very well why I support Mike Huckabee.
But, I frankly see the GOP splitting into three camps - the traditional / pro-business wing, the Judeo-Christian / family values wing, and the Ron Paul libertarians. I don't think any of the Republican candidates are strong enough to unite those three factions.

I think it's a MUST-win for Huckabee, if he hopes to remain a contender for the nomination. Right now, it appears he's tied with McCain. Tough to call.
