There DOES need to be a General Forum--ya think?
.
I really miss the Forum. I bet Brian would like to see me there instead of here in his topic. (wink)

There's a lot of pressure on him by the few of us.
.
And, whatever we post should, in some way, be related to protestantism.

As we should try to link 'protestantism' to our discussions, I have attempted to link 'religious intolerance' to climate change albeit with a question:

http://religiousintolerance.suite101.com...

I am also somewhat of a protestant on the efficacy of suite101.

It takes two to tango and or tangle. When the site host and other participants remove themselves from discussions, you can predict the death of the site.
.
Some participants cannot stand not being accepted as the final authority; so, they disappear from our presence. Have you noticed? They don't like it when objections to their way of thinking are put on the table. Brother Jones might be the most obvious of examples at the present time.
.
Opps! We're not supposed to talk about the dearly departed, though, are we?

Well, I got the 'climate change' topic going, thought you'd like a shot at whatever takes your fancy.

"Opps! We're not supposed to talk about the dearly departed, though, are we?"

I can always rely on suite101 to remind me of the unwritten rules...OOPS! happy

Invoking the departed's name can bring forth his resurrection. Hee hee.

What's your take on "illegals" in your school system? They stream straight across your lax borders into...school?
Anyway, I found this topic:

and even opened a topic on our mandarin eating...sorry...Mandarin speaking, Prime Minister.

'.
I think everyone should have a chance to make the most of their life regardless of where they were born.
.
But, we do have rules.
.
People who immigrate to any country should begin the enculturation process on their arrival if not before. My sympathies are with the immigrants; but, I believe each person bears the responsibility to blend into the culture and to leave their old ways behind. I think it's great that people remember the culture of their origin. But, we have all kinds of people moving to the U.S.A. who refuse to accept our culture as their own. That's a problem. When our stinking government mandated employment rules be posted in Spanish and English, that signaled the trouble we are experiencing now.
.
The current problems we're having are part of the class struggle of the working classes to rise up in society. Capital is taking advantage of the immigrants paying them substandard wages and keeping them in fear of deportation while native born Americans are losing their jobs.
.
Capitalism is winning the battle against the working classes across the globe.
.
I wonder how long it will be before the tide is turned.
