Christians certainly have the option to boycott 'The Golden Compass' as anti-Church.
We live in 'the world'... I do not believe the "church" has to right to dictate to the world.. As a Christian, all I can do is share the gospel message. God does the rest!.. ![]()
It sounds like a fun fantasy movie to me, and I'm sure the gamers will be snatching up the vid game like hot cakes (which will be released four days before the movie, btw).
I probably will go see it.. not for its plot or story line.. but.. for its graphics..
I mean.. I sure do wish I could sit with me dog, or cat for that matter.. and have them explain to me 'the meaning of life"...
but.. would be nice to have an armored plated Polar Bear as well.. Of course, PETA probably would not stand silent! haha..
...and the keeps turning...........

- Tiresome Hype
Migisi,
Philip Pullman has said (and I quote): "I'm trying to undermine the basis of Christian belief." That's Pullman - IN HIS OWN WORDS!!
It may be "tiresome hype" (to your ears and eyes) to read me and other Christians warning parents about this man's avowed agenda. So be it. I fully expect you to go see the movie and its sequels - and to enjoy them. I'm sure you will enjoy the books as well, if you haven't already read them. Based on Pullman's quote above, he's right up your alley.
