Explain to me how a belief in the "spiritworld" must involve a belief in the "after life".
.
And, what words of Jesus do you mean to connote?

Nothing concerning your beliefs surprise me.
I could imagine that you believe in a spirit world but also believe in no spirit world. Obviously, you reject the afterlife. Since I don't think Jesus actually enters into your beliefs about anything, it wouldn't be necessary to quote Him. It proves nothing to you. Obviously, the bible presents a spirit world and an afterlife. Just see the several events in His life after He rose from the dead. Also we spent some time in Acts, Chapter One, on the issue of where Jesus went after He ascended. Remember?
So, since you believe in a spirit world, I suppose you will need to give it some context and definition, since I imagine that you are talking about some kind of energy in the mystic realm of liberals where such things go bump in the night.

Not at all.

I think it can all be scientifically explained and demonstrated.

How long after a close loved one has passed do we so often still experience their spirit in our presence?

Maybe they will discover spiritual DNA in our lifetime. ABC.

In modern times, based on my experience with the dying and their families, I would say probably about ten or maybe fifteen minutes, tops. But sometimes the presence is over when the nurse drags the sheet over the head. It seems that if that is your belief in the spirit world, then it is short and sweet, and not much to it.

I think the confusion might be that a reader would interpret your comments to mean that you could believe that your loved one exists in an afterlife, when you seem to be saying that you believe their memory is fresh to you after all these years. You seem to believe that their essence of spirit somehow sort of lingers around the gravestone, hospital room, or your head area when you get the urge to think about the dead. But still no heaven for Pinky or Pinky's friends. Just sorta a wispy type smokey aroma of the person remembered. I think I got it.
Have you never heard one talk about the Spirit of the Lord being present in the House of God?
It almost sounds like a Geogre Carlin type of joke as you tell it. lol. Look if you want to believe in a spirit world apart from the afterlife and the New Testament, go for it. It doesn't seem to make much sense to me just to have somebody's mist hanging around their gravesite. Obviously, you are mostly vested in trying to get a little closer but not being entirely a materialist who believes only matter exists. But you don't wish to believe what the bible clearly teaches about the next life starting with the resurrection of Christ. It is just another ruse from you to explain why you don't accept Christianity.
Come on now, Brother Jones, don't be such a fuddy duddy.
You are the one with pretty dull beliefs about the spirit world. Just a little hovering mist remembrance does it for you. I accept the Godhead, Satan, the demons, angels, heaven, hell, second coming of Christ, and the glorious throne judgement. (matt 25:31)
How is that being a fuddy duddy?

My memories of my grandmother are one thing;
I am going to try to be careful and stay away from personalizing this discussion to be about your Grandmother. You simply don't make any sense. First you indicate you very much believe in a spirit world. Then you post that no spirits exist in your spirit world. Only 'it' exists, which is something that only exists in the mind, between the ears. Perhaps, Migisi can explain what kind of convoluted thinking occurs in folks like you who want to be part of a spiritual group, but don't actually believe in spirits. I mean, you can sorta pretend that you believe in a spirit world, but it looks like the pretend thing is just about impossible to explain with any reasonable logic. Your spirit world is the thoughts in your head. That is not too original, but I'm going to continue to refresh your memory with the exposure that you are on an opposite path from any Christian who follows the teaching of Christ. Have you ever meet any Christian that believed what you believe about the spirit world?
