- Learn To Trust
I was tempted not to even respond to this mockery, but I will for the sake of others who might be reading this...
Paul tells Timothy to "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." In other words...we are to study, analyze, ask questions, test doctrines, weigh things out, etc. We are not simply to turn away from all difficult issues (as Pink suggests Christians do) and dismiss them as "We'll figure it out later."
Now, the caveat to this is...Not all people are as intellectually gifted or as able (due to their cultural, geographical, technological circumstances) to study as thoroughly as others. That's why the salvation doctrine itself is so basic and simple. But as Jesus makes clear: "To whom much is given, much is required." The more we are able to study the Bible, the more we should. The more we are able to study religion, philosophy, physics, etc. in general, the more we should.
I do not duck and hide from the doctrine of the Trinity. I am not able to explain it as well as someone like Ravi Zacharias, nor am I able to address it to the satisfaction of critics like Migisi and Pink - but that is NOT the standard by which one should judge the worthiness of a belief. I do not need Migisi's or Pink's validation to continue in my belief in the Trinity, nor does any other Christian following this discussion.
