Well, you might not have missed much; albeit, Zacharias gives the drill.

But, if you're familiar with Zacharias, you know that he uses the academic approach to the issues at stake.
.
In this case, he calls up some ancient concepts of philosophic reasoning and he frames his presentation in a comparison to other belief systems so that the audience is disarmed. The Christian Trinity comes off in good shape against the other.

The ancients were mystified by the concept of spirit and the mystery continues for many people who refuse to use enlightened thinking as any sort of a guide toward understanding.

The idea that any two physical beings having a relationship would create a third entity known as the "spirit of the relationship" is hard to accept for those that are stuck on doctrine.
.
Plus, the idea that God moves in time and therefore is able to consider his own thoughts and actions in retrospect is difficult for those same people. As is the idea that God has a conscience or that he alludes to any morality.
.
Doctrine has the tendency to act as though it were a solid wall built around our thoughts to insulate us from thinking outside the box.
