Whatever is supposed to be hardwired into us, is interesting.
I watched the interactive, quality TV program 'Insight' last night about "resilience" and the myriad responses we label 'resilience'. Some research tells us that up to 2 thirds of us have a resilience gene that when triggered, will get us through the crises in our lives (such as 911, Columbine**, horrific burns, childhood cancer etc etc and our own Port Arthur** experiences) better than anticipated. But equally 2 thirds of us have a depression gene awaiting incitement. I'm awaiting reading anything about 'equal opportunity' being hardwired.
Whatever 'moral code' resides within, maybe we don't all have the same opportunities in life to read it the same way...if in fact it has universal (international) relevance despite life.
