Take notes and share them with us, won't you?

lol. I think Rob Bell would probably approve of your suggestion for me to take notes and describe accurately what he said. I do wonder if you could trust me to do just that. After all, I am me. Who could say that I am fair and balanced?

Rob had some things. lol. He spoke a little about those who don't put their faith in any ancient story. He claims such folk do have faith, but they won't often share it. I sorta disagree. Having watched the Emergent Folks for a couple of years, I see many of their folks claiming and testifying that the new faith is no faith in any bible story. And the no faith seems to be working enough to fill a few churches and venues like last evening completely jampacked full of the college educated. I think part of the answer to why the Emergent Experience is important is because our best and brightest kids didn't grow up talking in useless babble with family members at reunions about Religion. But we sent them off to places of higher education where professors began to deconstruct the bible and Evangelicals. I suppose that is some kind of high calling for those who are called into Religious philosophy by some spirit. But the asking questions stage is giving way to the affirmation stage that all of us little humans want to believe something about how it all might work. Just like you posted, many of the Emergents want to put their faith in the belief that man created all the gods. But they also want to find something for Jesus to do. And hopefully, they wish to spend their precious moments on planet earth with a new job assignment for Jesus to convert a few fundamentalists away from their foolishness of thinking their Jesus saves them.

i'm just an oldtimer for the Lord.
