I am not and haven't said that at all. But, I can address that issue.

The concept is not merely what you have implied; but, it is that the elevation of society to its highest level IS what the Social Gospel is all about. That it is the calling to help raise all humanity to its greatest potential is something Evangelicals scoff at.
