- Falling Short of God's Glory
What does "fall short of the glory of God" mean?
I was referring to Paul's phrase in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Migisi, there are people who have used religion to justify violence, just as there are people who have used various philosophies and even natural selection (eugenics anyone?) to justify violence.

- Fundamentalism
Here we go. Because I don't agree with your interpretation of Christian history (particularly the origins of fundamentalism), you are now going to interrogate me on my education (or lack thereof) and press me for my credentials.
As I've revealed before, I am CURRENTLY a seminary student and was ordained while in a student status. I am now one class away from a M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty Theological Seminary (as in Liberty University).
My studies on the Bible, church history, theology, etc. have been ongoing for several years, however. And have included resources outside of my seminary education.

Actually, it's there YOU go again--you're paranoid.
.
I was wondering where you get your information about the, as you recall, "inception, development, and evolution" of Fundamentalism. So many Evangelicals seem to think that Fundamentalism grew out of a natural understanding of Scripture and that it is as old as Christianity itself and merely a reaffirmation of the basic principles upon which the faith was built. That's wrong.

Yes, I know that verse. What's it mean?

Do you expect an answer?

I have gone round and round on the third chapter of Romans with some staunch Religionists and they just cannot admit to its meaning. They ALWAYS figure a way out.

You affirm that people have used religion to justify violence. Religion is what we're talking about here. While I specifically mention Christianity in this discussion re violence, I do acknowledge that other belief systems also justify their oppression and violence in the same way. And I reckon that if religion didn't exist, men would find another excuse to anihilate each other.

An answer from a pastor would be nice. I've never gotten one yet either.
