» Twice__Pardoned - I'd post it there but that part sucks

The Social side of the Suite blows hardcore... I checked it out and it's been March since they had a new discussion... ugh

I had a thought I wanted to post, please feel free to discuss the thought but don't drag 'me' into it.

The Native Americans and Whites had a long period of peace between them after the settlement. This was during the first wave of Whites which were predominantly Protestant. There was not war though.

Once the Nations of the Whites became established though that changed, the Protestants had nothing to do with it, they just happen to be over here already, in fact they got pissed and went to war with each other amongst the Natives. The Natives also started losing control because of the 'Western' push for more land.

Not the point but anyway... The final battle really took place in a non-violent sort of way. Basically we pushed the Natives into portions of land and gave them free crap all the time... blankets, food, medicine etc... (Whether it was diseased is a seperate issue) Follow me now...
Once they started getting the 'free' stuff they lost the drive to be a free people and ultimately never were able to resist because the pockets of resistance were weak and unstructured.
Follow me...

I think it was strategic to keep the Natives in this place of taking free stuff because ultimately they were paying for it themselves (in a round about way) by giving up their 'freedom'. So it really wasn't 'free' stuff... it just meant they didn't have to do anything to get it.

Now I have been a strong believer in LESS government for quite awhile now. I tend to believe that LESS government means more freedom, yes, even in a liberal way perhaps.

SO... how is it that the Liberal Politicians (not repub or demo, they're basically the same now) have convinced the American people that if we give up more freedom we'll be happier?

Ahha... because not working is happiness, right? After all if a young single woman with 3 kids stays home and doesnot work she gets more 'free' stuff than she would if she got full-time work and reduced her government assistance.

The motivation to work hard is not there because the government has given the poor a reason to 'take it easy'...

I believe NOW that approxamtely 50% of the Liberal vote is base on a generation that has grown up on government assistance... white, black whatever! Those 18-24 yr olds are so stupid because of the skewed perspective that THEY like the Natives will give up all their freedom for a couple scraps???

The Natives may have been the underdog but they gave up far too much. If the Westerns really thought they could annihilate tthe Natives, they would have. Instead they thought it was best to control them till they became extinct... tada! They practically do not exist... and soon neither will the Middle class workers!

Maybe I'm prideful BUT I think the middle class of today has a better shot than the Natives did... time is ticking, sure, but we're still alive. The only way to overcome the extinction is to resist those who seek to control us, right?

It's not my job to assume that the plan for my life has been hammered in stone, He may know all things... so then He knows who will fight for freedom and who won't... I'll start with my children and at the voting booths. EVEN if it means wasting a vote on someone other than the previously decided (by the powers that be) President 2008. I want my government to know that I won't be pushed any longer into a bipartisanship, tripartisanship or anything that requires me and my country to settle for 1 or 2 measly votes!

I require freedom and I hope the sheep we call the majority will stand and start fighting at the polls before the booth!

They [Native Americans] practically do not exist...
.
Hi Stephen. I just participated in the largest Pow Wow in my state this past weekend. The original people do indeed still exist. Very much so. You just don't notice them because most live off reservations... they have jobs, homes in cities and suburbs, families, they pay taxes, they dress like you, talk like you, have feelings like you, they vote in elections, their kids go to school, they attend church like you (many I know are Christians), and they love their country. They ~are~ the middle class, just like you. Sure, some still live on reservations. It's easy to assume that all Native Americans live in poverty, if those are the only Indians you know and see.
.
Do you know any full-blood Native Americans on a personal level, Stephen? Not the pretenders who claim to be Indian, but ~real~ Indians. Ever been to their homes? Work with them? Served in the military with them? Met their kids?
.
It's an eye-opener (and often a tear-jerker) to hear Native American history from an Indian's perspective.

Our country was founded as a Republic.. meaning = middle class who rule... Same with Israel.

I cannot think of any other western nation that do this.....

One world rule seeks to eliminate the middle class. Once this happens, its only master and slaves.. as it once was in ancient Rome..

Yes.. I do have personal and up close relations w/ Navajo's!

Basically we pushed the Natives into portions of land and gave them free crap all the time
.
Under Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act, government soldiers rounded up Native Americans in the east and imprisoned them in camps. There they were brutalized, demoralized, and starved into submission. If they refused to submit, they were denied even the most basic human needs, or they were jailed or killed. Many died of disease in the camps. Those who survived and submitted were relocated to remote desolate areas in the west. Thousands of lives were lost during the long walk to these reservations.

What you've done here is to show your prejudicial views preaching the Libertine gospel of selfishness.
