» pink101 - Has So Much About It

.
Christianity has so much about it that is good. It's a shame to see it go down the tubes as a result of the over zealousness of the Evangelicals, the Fundamentalists, the Charismatics, and the Spiritualists. Some of these different groups have become very political in their ideological teachings. I think that portends their last dying gasps.
.
Several hundred years ago, a Jew by the name of Baruch Spinoza was put out of the Synagogues for his interpretations and teachings of Judaism. He is credited with being the first Humanaist Jew and religious Modernist.

Check it out.
.
It's time for a movement toward Humanist Christianity.
.
I think it would (will) be very popular.

Now, THAT is a contradiction in terms.

Kind of like "government efficiency."

Not so, Brian.

I'm sure you will see it blossom.

I don't know when; but, humanity is ready for it.

I think "humanist Christianity" pretty well sums up John Shelby Spong's faith perspective.

Even so, Christianity isn't about us. At least, it shouldn't be. It's about Christ. Hence, the name.

You are missing a lot of good faith exercise by staying out of the discussion threads.
