» _Boanerges_ - continuing II....
moving to the last book of the bible, we see [ the word ] again... this time in the image of a sword...Revelation 2:16: Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
We know what that sword is because the word of God details this clearly...
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

» _Boanerges_ - the end of the high priest - the beginning of the prophets

Revelation 10:7

Early Views on "Prophecy" - by J. R. Church

"Prophecy was a popular subject right from the opening days of early Christianity. Time and again, Jesus referred to the Old Testament prophets as He taught His disciples. In turn, they established and taught these prophecies to new congregations across the known world. There are 209 references to the term prophet, prophecy, prophecies, etc. in the New Testament; 106 of which are in the Gospels; and 46 are in Matthew alone! By the middle of the second century, prophecy was a well-respected part of Christian theology; and, as far as we know, no one treated the subject more thoroughly than Justin Martyr (A.D. 114-165)."
