Keeping to the analogy but laying aside the sacrilegious tone you're introducing here...

There is no question that God has adjusted His approach, introduced new dynamics to the game, etc. But the fundamental "game" itself has continued on.

God created the angels and the human race for His glory and for His pleasure. That's the message of the Bible. Some people can't get past that. You seem to be one of them. For them, it is just too self-serving on God's part. Too distasteful. Too weird. Too comical. Whatever adverb or adjective you want to use. But that's the way the Bible presents it, and quite honestly, that's really the only logical explanation.

If the universe had an origin (and it did), that means it was created. If it was created, then there had to be a Creator. If a Creator, that Creator had to have a motive. It's logical, even if some find it to be uncomfortable or personally disagreeable.
