"Have all OZ elevators been shut down?"
Well, we call 'em lifts and I can't recall the last one anywhere that had any piped music. I can recall the last one that broke down. They have broadcast symphony type music at railway concourses to scare off loitering riff raff and that at times can be heard in the lifts. ![]()

Well, like any good 'condensed' "reality" show, I'm sure 33 days can have an hour or so of fun. Maybe a nun sneakin' a fag behind the dunny!
Everything's condensed nowadays...all the problems resolved during the ad breaks etc. Even 33 days x 24 hours of chastity contained within an hour won't seem that much of a chore to these young folks, eh?
No wonder kids are bored if they have to wait 30 minutes.
Cloistered, enclosed, vow of il silenzio etc?? So, you say 98% of Italy is Catholic. I guess the common question: "Is the Pope Catholic?" has an easy answer.

I'm not sure if the show goes beyond one viewing...I'll check & get back to you. I recall the 5 women are mixed...a single mum, a lapsed Catholic whatever that is. Is it like a lapsed Christian whatever that is?
The music works...kinda like the head banging music in shopping centres that WILL ensure my hasty retreat. But, there are railway guards too just in case. Tis better to avoid schoolkids loitering around blocking egress...than worry about crime on trains and platforms.

Today's news snippet: I'm not sure why an Italian tourist drank ethylene glycol but is the treatment uniquely Aussie? Rather than purified pharmaceutical-grade alcohol, he was treated to rum, vodka, whisky for 3 days...and from the intensive care specialist's own cellars.

Re above topic...the show's over 3 Sunday nights...and I missed the first one.![]()
The funniest thing in the election campaign? A Jack Russell terrier named Rupert, wearing a 'Kevin 07' T-shirt in honour of his Labor leader, walked up on stage to him during his address to the Party faithful...and left some solid messages that were not in the boss's script.
A photo of him sitting amongst 'it' graces the pages of our newspaper. ABC

Go Kevin, we've had a chimp at helm for 11 years now, we need someone who both knows what he's doing and who can run a Country without taking orders from Bush.
Funny to see Howard say the Chaser's Eulogy song was a disgrace after 11 years of disgracful leadership.
If Howard gets in again I'm leaving the Country.

Daisy hill is very close to where I live (I live in Logan City). About 15 minutes drive. Very nice place for a BBQ or a bush walk.

Unfortunately, I did neither. I stayed in a house within a 2 minute walk from their shopping centre. A very ill friend and his recalcitrant 13 yo daughter who he tried to 'ground'. You may have seen her where you live around 2am in the morning??
