Good one--thanks. It sounds academic.
Subject to unknowingly plagiarising, I claim I've coined the above phrase prompted simply by discussions within suite101 that dance around 3C. Be sure to cite your source if you want to quote it. ![]()
Absolutist thinking in America's military? Replacing what? My recollection is you were no General so needed to follow whatever orders you were given. ![]()
You are a prolific reader of non-fiction. I'm not going to catch up in this lifetime.
But there is a book now out I may purchase, called 'Advance Australia...Where' by Hugh Mackay. He posits OZ is in the Dreamy Period.
"15 years ago, when we were more engaged with political and social issues, we were better at keeping such (racist etc etc) tendencies on the leash. In the Dreamy Period, we let them loose as a way of keeping our own fears and insecurities at bay." Disengaging is not the same as apathy.

But there's NO reference at all to a child, offspring, progeny, etc. YOU might think so, but it doesn't ~~say~~ it.
Of course it says it, Mig.. where do children come from? Do they drop out of the sky.....
Think it over some.. It requires some - common sense - and a little thinking of your own - besides understanding the rest of Scriptures... You cannot simply quote a verse of scripture and think that it will stand.. It does not - you need ALL of scripture... to make a clear statement regarding scripture...
I do believe God wants you (desires) us to use our brains on occasions...

And it occurred to me that sometimes politicians use 3 little sound bytes to make a point. Either to help the scribe keep up...or they can't count past 3.

"Located in the center of the Land of Oz, the Emerald City is the end of the famous yellow brick road, which starts in Munchkin Land."
Through the green tinted glasses, I see a land far away that even elects its local 'district' attorneys to administer law so what hope is there if the lobbyists also deal with your nation's chief lawmaker and his/her cronies.
Actors, fathers and sons, husbands and wives...can take turns at President BUT keep it in-house. No scurvy foreigners, eh? A foreigner is a lifetime appointment there. Here, you're a local in the country after 10 or so years...but you can be PM once you're a citizen. When you tolerate things as you do, tis a good sign of tolerance?

Sorry...I'm going to have to get a technician out to check the problem. Your link shows a video where only half a sentence happens before it cuts out. There's a problem in downloading the software...or me still pushing the buttons hoping they're right. Kinda like life, actually.
