I made a mistake in my prior post where I wrote, The only think I can PROVE about the idea is that it exists and that I THINK it is a worthy subject for discussion. (Bold emphasis points out the error.)
.
I meant for it to read, The only thing I can PROVE about the idea is that it exists and that I THINK it is a worthy subject for discussion.
.
I also think that women are as much the victim of this knowledge that is hidden from them as are the men and it can be said the other way around.

- Setting aside theology
Stepping aside from theology and just looking at this statement, I find this to be very true. I've met a lot of pretty conservative, fundamentalist families in my time. And men who make it clear that they are the "head of the home." But, I'm also a pretty thorough observer of people - and, in most of those cases, they ain't. ![]()
There's a funny saying: Men may be the head, but women are the neck. Lots of truth to that in many families.

Heh heh... she knows all his secrets, and can 'leak' them.

But Laura's a piker compared to Barbara. Barbara's had TWO presidents and a governor come from her family. And you can bet Barbara hand-picked Georgie's wife for him. Laura must genuflect to Barbara. Trust me.
