» Feature Writer Brian Tubbs - Personal Interpretations

In response to Wrong, Pink, WRONG posted by pink101:

Jesus said that you will know people by their "fruit." It is a matter of fact that people will make personal judgments of others, based on their speech, actions, etc.

However, Jesus also said that we should "judge not, lest [we] be judged." Therefore, we should keep our personal appraisals of others tentative and humble.

I can't, with any authority, and should not, with any pride or air of superiority, declare who is and who is not a "Christian" or who is and who is not going to heaven. At least not when it comes to specific individuals.

I can, however, proclaim what Jesus said. I can preach what the Bible says. I'm citing a higher authority when I do so, not my own personal opinion.

I don't try to play God, but I do strive to follow God.
