"how do we deconstruct what can't be visibly detected?
A good point!...."
I was only suggesting aiming for a simple phrase to identify this point...to add to the 10.
BTW, Aussies can call someone an SOB as an insult & also in a friendly way. But I'm wary of the French manner in their homeland.
Maybe I should see if there is any interest in deconstructing 'Australia' or 'fair dinkum'. But as your Homeland Security was interested in checking out the 'fair dinkum' complaint, I don't want them trawling this site...at least for...me. ![]()
The better inclusive process is surely to first explain how Aussies can avoid being arrested in similar circumstances by our dominant partner. Deconstructing seems a way to form a committee to ensure the USA never gives a clear answer. ![]()
Ceased or never existed? I agree, Migisi. The way my brain operates, tis how I seek answers so I struggle with Pink's approach. As I see it, there are certain claimed theoretical elements to Christianity and the 10 points aim to identify them. That's only the brainstorming phase and I'm not proceeding beyond it.
Pink stated elsewhere he woke one morning and wondered what the day had in store re deconstruction or postmodernism. Probably TIC. Me, I never wake each day wondering what the USA has in store for me. (Sorry, Pink...according to RBANS, I have a minor problem with 'Delayed Memory' on unimportant things.

I'd just as soon be back there with you; but, I got NO support for ANY brainstorming on the subjects. Maybe the problem has to do with the possibility that those who give themselves authority to speak on behalf of God really don't have a good grasp on what Christianity is? Do you think?

Did we arrive at a concensus about the points? Even if we didn't, we could discuss why a point is or isn't valid.
.
How about brainstorming on those - point by point. I thought that's what this thread was about.

Christianity is not a sandbox where people get to define it as part of a brainstorming exercise. It's unfair for you to accuse me or anyone else of not wanting to "face" what we believe, simply because we're not comfortable with or agreeable with some list that was cobbled together in an Internet forum.

You know, examining the tenets -point by point - of Christianity ~could~ be a learning experience for some here. You could make up your own list for discussion here.

Well, then, just for the sake of some respect for our relationships, why don't you humor us and get involved in the brainstorming that was taking place in this thread.
