Are we in brainstorming mode?
.
Actually, we're developing an idea on which you will be able to build a sermon or two--maybe a series. happy
.
Brainstorming? I guess that makes sense, doesn't it?
.
1. Bible/Revealed Word of God
.
2. Shame and Guilt
.
3. Condemnation
.
4. God's Rightousness for Humanity
.
5. Crucifixion of Jesus
.
6. Resurrection of Jesus
.
7. Deity of Jesus
.
8. The Great Commandment given by Jesus
.
9. God's Love for humanity
.
10. God as the omnipotent omniscient creator of all that is.
.
Let's not shoot any of them down until we can't come up with any new ones.

Are we in brainstorming mode? Because I don't agree with this list. But I'll wait before shooting down some of them, if we're just in brainstorming mode

lol.. a good chuckle from that, Brian.. I find it telling that Phil wants to add my "deserves to eat" segment as a basis for Christianity. But I'll roll with it to see how the brain storming is being built...

I thought an easier way to deconstruct Christianity would be to deconstruct Jesus. No Jesus - no Christianity.... not much really to deconstruct....

Thanks, Bri. I'll read it -- even if it ~is~ written by a Christian apologist who was professor of theology at Liberty University and William Tyndale College.

In response to Non-Christian Resurrection Claims posted by BrianTubbs:

Good article Brian....

In relation, lets take a quick look at the Zoroaster's (Persian and Assyrian storys)...
It is well documented that Daniel was put in charge of what we know todays as - the Maggi.... (Zoroaster's)... Hence, their mention in the NT coming to visit the Messiah, King of the Jews (Israel).

Question: How would they know this?....

Daniel 2:48: Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.

Daniel 6:1-3 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom; And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

» _Boanerges_ - Non-Christian Resurrection Claims

In response to Non-Christian Resurrection Claims posted by BrianTubbs:

quoting the conclusion...

"So to conclude briefly, non-Christian resurrection claims have not been proved by the evidence. Any of several naturalistic hypotheses is certainly possible and, in some cases, one or more can specifically be postulated as a probable cause. Simply to report a miracle is not sufficient to establish it, especially if that miracle is then going to be used to support a religious system. And to answer a question posed at the outset of this essay, non-Christian religions cannot use their resurrection claims to provide evidence for the system in question if these claims are themselves unsubstantiated.

In fact, Hinduism is built upon one man revealing his revelation to his Vedas (scribes)... Ironically, Islam is built on the same fashion.. One man revealing his revelation..

Contrast this (and lack of evidence for their claims) to the Bible, and one must conclude right off that the Jews scriptures are easily verified in time and space and reality - therefore, rejecting the notion they are simply myths passed down.

In fact, most scholarship agrees that the Biblical accounts, and those within those accounts, can easily be found in REALITY, therefore, discounting the fallacious argument of myth!...

One needs only to do a little research to find this simple truth.

» Feature Writer Brian Tubbs - Bias

In response to Non-Christian Resurrection Claims posted by Migisi:

The man's bias or perspective should have no bearing on your assessment of the CONTENT of his argument. Either his points have merit or they don't.

You keep throwing up this wall to anyone who comes at an issue with a Christian POV. Such a person (according to you) should either be dismissed or taken with a big grain of salt all the while being eyed with great suspicion. It's extremely unfair.

Sorry, I haven't read the article yet to discuss if his points have merit or not. But let's say I dispute his points using my own research. You'd simply dismiss my research and POV as being unfairly biased against Christianity. It works both ways, Bri.
