100% of his share.

BTW, I think he sees the presidency as a stooge position and that is why he won't run.

You can't bite the hand that feeds you and we all know who feeds the election campaigns.
.
It's Daddy Megabucks.

Bush certainly made the presidency into a stooge position. Mo (Rove), Larry (Cheney), and Curly (Bush) -- in that order.

Real life beckons.... I'll be back later.

A delayed response but I've been sunning myself up at The Entrance...a glass or 2 of Penfolds Cab Sav. happy It's gonna be 33 degrees Celsius today, 19 degrees tomorrow.

Interesting re Queen Elizabeth 1's disapproval of preaching to ensure self actualisation was limited. So how come praying is OK if it leads to a better life? Maybe the good Queen knew more about the power of prayer?

Multiply the celsius by 1.8 and add 32 degrees to get the conversion to Fahrenheit.
.
Hot today and quite comfortable tomorrow?

Or simply the Church's power to control the masses, which would usurp ~her~ power over them.

Fight For Power
.
Power is defined as the ability to impose one's will on others and against their will.
.
Red puts out some interesting and insightful questions with, Interesting re Queen Elizabeth 1's disapproval of preaching to ensure self actualisation was limited. So how come praying is OK if it leads to a better life? Maybe the good Queen knew more about the power of prayer?
.
I think you're knocking on the side door where the problems of religion in society are kept from general public view.
.
We read--even here in these threads--that religionists only want to be treated fairly so that they can be heard. That's bull roar. They don't want to be heard--they want to be felt--they want society to be under their control. And, it is such an easy task to show that point.
.
Here I am, living in the most wonderful society the world has ever known, and there THEY are--the Religionists--making their presence felt in our society and, consequently, in the entire world. The whole vershuken Republican Party has been commandeered by the Religious Right which, every time it gets a majority of its people in office, pushes the Religionist agenda outrightly in our courts and every governmental bureaucracies possible. They are presently working on a wide range of moral issues involving personal sexuality to focus on only one area. We are being overwhelmed by their narrow minded concepts of reality.
.
Does praying lead to a better life? For whom? Prove it.
