I won't be surprised if your comments go completely ignored by Migisi--they are so contrived up in your own mind.
.
Your comments were completely uncalled for and they exhibit the reprehensible behavior I have indicated. You put motivations into her life and speak fantasies into existence of which she probably has no thoughts.
.
That isn't fair of you, Brother Jones.

Like I said, people are in love with the law. It wasn't any "off the wall thinking" on my part. I've given it a great deal of thought. I wrote a paper on it when I was in college many years ago. The title was, Thou Shalt Not Pull Any Beards.

So easy a caveman could understand it. Somehow you succumbed to the notion that being smart and looking smart is pretty important in the long view of life. And all those conservative Christian look pretty awkward with their backward beliefs about Jesus. I guess you just never really got it. You never really understood why Jesus came into the world. If you did, you would have to choose up sides in your mind....and you would have to go stand with the stupid folk...the people who think like little children.

lol.

If it is, as you say, "So easy a caveman could understand it", well, then, go ahead. and tell us so we all know. The readers, here, are at least as smart as cavemen.
.
Why don't you try to deal with these factors without making such an effort to put your adversaries down? That's Wendell's game. Are you another Wendell?
.
Did it have anything to do with the blind, the sick, the maimed, or the captives?
.
Are you blind, sick, maimed, a captive?
.
I don't know how smart I am; but, I'm not dumb. I know all about the game you seem so intent on playing. It's not difficult to figure these things out. For example, here is a link where any reader can literally spend days learning about it:

Do you think a personal story about how Jesus set me free would help you in any way? Or Wendell's story? This format is not really about that. It is mostly about cynical, sarcastic people letting off steam about conservative Christians. And cynical, sarcastic Christians letting off steam concerning very rude unbelievers.

Are you blind, sick, maimed, a captive?

On somedays, I sure am.

Are you another Wendell?
I hope so. On somedays, I truly hope I am like him in a lot of ways. I like his dedication.

So, to a rational question, your neural pathways take you to a biblical verse?

Don't you see that you are in bondage?

Are ye daft?

No, I don't see it. I am free like a bird because I treasure the word of God. It is not some little insignificant post that lies above us. It is a word, and ideas that come straight from the kingdom of God.

i am the Lord's oldtimer.

You are bound to it like Prometheus was bound to the mountain in his eternal chains.
.
But, you are not the only one.
.
And, it is obvious that you love your bondage as it ministers to your blindness telling you that you have found the absolute truth. It is so easy to believe and its promise is so pastoral and sublime.
.
Loving your bondage is the mark of those who are in slavery. What else can you do? If you were to be set free, you would be all alone in the world that has been built for you. And, that takes courage--great courage. But, you can scoff at me for telling you so.
.
Perhaps you will never know freedom? And, so, you will remain a captive believing the stories that have been told you since childhood. Think of all the things you would have to leave behind if you were set free. Almost impossible. A camel could easily walk through the eye of a needle before you could accept freedom from your bondage.
.
And, you, an old timer in the Lord? happy
.
And, me? I'm going into eternal damnation for not eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?
.

Other than John Spong, have you ever heard anyone that has your type of beliefs and claims some sort of Christianity or some sort of relationship with God? Anyone?
