I think it is easy "to calculate why Jesus is so prominent today." It's the same reason why the prophets were so prominent in his time. People love the law of right and wrong. It makes life easy.

Contrary to your off-the-wall thinking about whether people actually want or need God, Jesus is a reliable source of information about God, imo. And folks need God. They need authority in their lives, not just dissent and rebellion coming from you guys on the Left. You don't even seem to know how to make a defining statement about Jesus because you are so caught up in defining your life with doubting every institution and every basic guideline of biblical authority. So what is it like being you when you go to church, take communion, share Jesus, or just sit by the fire and think about the idea that your deist god is pretty impersonal and cold as hell. (some downunder humor)

Like I said, people are in love with the law. It wasn't any "off the wall thinking" on my part. I've given it a great deal of thought. I wrote a paper on it when I was in college many years ago. The title was, Thou Shalt Not Pull Any Beards.

So prove it's not a hoax and big tale, Jones. I've just been asking questions - which haven't been answered (yet). I don't make any truth claims, and therefore have nothing to prove. You et al, on the other hand, have consistently made all kinds of claims which obviously lack credible proof. Pretend I'm doubting Thomas and ~show me~. If you can, that is.

I figured to get in some trouble today.

Life is just too short to be taking some of the risks that I take. I think your deal basically boils down to god not being so very unique..Jesus is not so unique, and neither is migisi so unique or special.

And I can't prove any of those ideas to you. You have to find it yourself with God's help.

You are unique. God just made one of you. And everytime you poka ya head outta the house, you bump into somebody that talks about Jesus or you see His name on the corner building. And you wonder, 'What the hell is the deal with Jesus?' All that crud should be in my previous life and I should be able to go down the street without people stopping to talk to me about Jesus Christ.'

Your role in life appears to be to convince others that Jesus was not unique and neither are you. You are just plain ole migisi. And Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic or maybe both. Or somebody invented Him and that person was a liar or lunatic. That is your story. And you seem to be pretty good at sticking with it. So when the subject of Jesus comes up or you roll by a building with His name on it, just keep repeating,...'He was not unique, neither am I.' That will help convince you that you are some sort of reliable source of information about some sort of god that makes non-specific people like you and Pinky who believe Jesus was either a nut or somebody's version of a nut. But keep to this idea that Jesus was not unique, so that you will keep believing that you are not unique, because that seems to be your destiny.

It is your story.
