You know, Wendell, sometimes you put some really good stuff out.

Your last post sure doesn't do your intelligence any justice. In fact, it makes you look sorta stupid.
.
But, that's o.k., we still like ya.
.
You know the thread is up. And you know what it says. It isn't going to fade away.

hmmm.. what is "spin".... Slang. to cause to have a particular bias; influence in a certain direction:

questions asked...
#1 ...no answer
#2.... no answer
#3 ..no answer....

from this conclusion, Phil arrives at: it makes you look sorta stupid

Indeed.. the perfect example of "spin" was demonstrated! Thanks, Phil.. happy

the questions remain, unanswered... this only means that, at least in Phil's example, he is set now to "impose" his religionism onto others, without even a discussion....

hehe.. as I said.. that will only create division!...

good luck!

Notice the arguments regarding such issues as stem cell reseach and abortion?
2: which religion opposes abortion?

Hey, Folks, Wendell learned a trick.
.
By the way, Wendell, here are two Quick definitions (religion)
# noun: a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny
# noun: institution to express belief in a divine power (Example: "He was raised in the Baptist religion")
.

.
Neither Atheism or Secularism qualify as religions.
.
But, what do you care, right? All the dumbos still line up for you whenever you pull their chains.

As Popeye would say, "Arf, Arf!"

Someone better let Suite101 know that they are falsely advertising for their religion and spirituality sections.. otherwise renamed, mind and soul...

Atheism = without GOD ... uhmmm... ding dong...

Secular humanism is the results of a society that embraces atheism....

so then.. from your statements (3 questions) there remains no answers from you - only dictation... Sounds like a totalitarian religion to me!... yes.. yes it is..

Fact: Abortion is legal.. Therefore, Christianity cannot be responsible for abortions right to exists as a right to the individual..... or better said - to women only...

and - Phil says?

» _Boanerges_ - two Quick definitions of (religion)

but Phil.. you said RELIGION _ ISM

and now you argue with the dictionary about the term - religionism...

So - to repeat.....

Excessive or affected religious zeal.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/religio...

NOUN: A state of often extreme religious ardour: devotion, devoutness, pietism, piety, piousness, religiosity, religiousness. See RELIGION.
http://www.bartleby.com/62/74/R1257425.h...

Theoretical atheism
Theoretical, or contemplative, atheism explicitly posits arguments against the existence of gods, responding to common theistic arguments such as the argument from design or Pascal's Wager. The theoretical reasons for rejecting gods assume various psychological, sociological, metaphysical, and epistemological forms.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism

results: atheism is in fact a religion....

Question.. what religion do you believe in? Answer - I am an atheist... meaning - without GOD

Hey, Wendell!. It looks like you're trying to change the terms of the Religionism thread I started so that you can come out on top of some debate you are rehearsing in your head.
.
So, Big Guy, do you want to discuss it in this thread or do you want to go over into the thread that has been provided with my opening statement? Seems like it would be the decent thing to go to that thread; but, you don't much care about being decent, do you?

Phil: Notice America's foreign policy?
Wendell: 1: Which religion plays a role here?

Phil: Notice the arguments regarding such issues as stem cell reseach and abortion?
Wendell: 2: which religion opposes abortion?

Phil: Religionism pervades society.
Wendell: 3: which religion pervades society?

okie.. go ahead!

Phil: So, a Religionist would be a person that seeks to impose their beliefs on the greater society through the application of its law and laws on the greater society.

Phil: Notice the arguments regarding such issues as stem cell reseach and abortion?

Wendell: 2: which religion opposes abortion?

Wendell adds: Christianity opposes abortion. Abortion is legal. Therefore, according to you, it would be the anti-Christians that support abortion. Abortion is legal, therefore, according to you, "a Religionist would be a person that seeks to impose their beliefs on the greater society through the application of its law and laws on the greater society". This cannot be Christianity. Therefore, what religion supports the legalization of abortion?....
