The word, extreme:
.
Quick definitions (extreme)
# noun: the furthest or highest degree of something (Example: "He carried it to extremes")
# noun: the point located farthest from the middle of something
# adjective: of the greatest possible degree or extent or intensity (Example: "Extreme cold")
# adjective: far beyond a norm in quantity or amount or degree; to an utmost degree (Example: "An extreme example")
# adjective: beyond a norm in views or actions (Example: "An extreme conservative")
# adjective: most distant in any direction (Example: "The extreme edge of town")
.
---------------------------------
.
Accordingly, it looks like I used the proper word when I identified your definition as extreme.
.
In any event, my point is that using that definition excludes each and every person who doesn't agree with you from being able to identify with Jesus.
.
And, that--in and of itself--is a self righteous position similar to what is at the root of all the problems in the World of Islam.
.
It is the basis of an argument if not a sectarian fight between "Christians". You have judged me to not be a Christian. Where do you get your authority to do that?

Brian Tubbs
- Original Meaning
Pink, I'm not judging anyone here. Whether you accept Jesus as your Lord is your decision to make. This is not a debate on judgment, but rather a debate on DEFINITION.
Am I being judgmental, for example, to say that a person who lives in France and has French citizenship is NOT an "American"?

- So My Question
This is a strange question, Pink. I believe that JESUS laid out the terms of all this when he said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Now, if someone chooses to place their identity and/or their quest for spiritual enlightenment and/or their desire to get to heaven on someone or something else besides Jesus....well... that is THEIR decision. Not mine. I'm not "separating" anybody from anything. They have made their own choice.

People often get confused over the differences between [confidence] and [arrogance]....

John 3:3
Acts 17:30-32
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.)
Matthew 26:28
(Jesus said) For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

judge with the prerogative to separate people from having a relationship with Jesus. Not only you; but, others who post here as well. I can name them if you like.
Some of this stuff you come up with is just silly. If a Christian attempts to share with others that they should have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you are going to object and be the first person to complain in some way. You spend much more time than anybody else here attempting to discourage anyone from giving their life to Jesus as Lord. But you are somehow committed to this farce of a smoke screen that somehow you are leading the way in helping people find Jesus. It is like the stuff of situation comedies.
You might not think so; but, let me remind you in a friendly manner that you come here as an ordained minister. That gives you a special authority and causes many other people to look up to what you say and do as though you have some special rights (prerogatives) others do not possess.
More idiotic nonsense. You and Brian are the only confessed Baptists here. And you certainly don't cut any slack because he is a Baptist or minister, and since you share little to nothing with anyone of that denomination. I confess that I don't regard Brian as a spokeman for Christianity because of his ordination or his denomination. I've known too many. He has seemed to prove his worth simply because he is a good thinker and seems to have a good heart, and he appears to believe the bible like any follower of Christ would.
i am just an oldtimer for the Lord.
