The Peeping Pastor. Not that kind of pr my church would want, methinks. » pink101 - Post # 61 .Just to make sure I didn't misunderstand what you wrote, Brian, maybe you would explain how this isn't you telling us that Migisi is stupid. . Here is your post as it is directed at her: "You clearly don't accept the idea that God could be or might be 'disgusted' with anything. To you, you expect God to be a fluffy, friendly Marshmallow in the sky that never has anything critical to say about anybody. Otherwise, there is no god. This is an emotional demand, Migisi. The Bible presents God as being a God of emotion -- at times, a God of wrath. There is no logical reason why this can't be so. You may not like it, but that has no bearing on reality." . It sure looks, to me, as though you are explaining Migisi to Migisi as well as to the rest of us. Do I misread you? I mean "...a fluffy, friendly Marshmallow in the sky.. "? Sounds like a fairly stupid thought to me and that is what she thinks--according to you, anyway. How can she have any say in the matter after you've spoken reality into existence? As you notice, you also speak to reality in your last line. . . -- posted by pink101 » Migisi - Post # 61 In response to Post # 61 posted by pink101:
-- posted by Migisi » Migisi - Security systems (off topic) In response to Nature of God (reply to Migisi) posted by _Boanerges_:. My security system: three big dogs that would bite anyone who entered without invitation, several loaded guns, police training, and two high-belt sons in karate (they've practiced on me -- ouch!!) . But seriously. I ~do~ need a reliable wireless video system with a minimum of two cameras which can transmit 200 feet. I had a First Alert system for my hawk barn and education center. It worked great until my grandbaby pulled the receiver/monitor down off the shelf by its cord. Got any recommendations? Websites? The system I had is now obsolete - no replacement stuff available. . There's no way I can get ADT out where I'm at. -- posted by Migisi » _Boanerges_ - Security systems (off topic) In response to Security systems (off topic) posted by Migisi:
actually, a video system will be harder to find because of liability.... However, Home Depot (among others) offer good pricing for video equipment.. You can buy each for around 100-200$.... By placing a sign that states 'video surveillance' is quite good at a deterrent..... Otherwise, here is a good company to check-out -- posted by _Boanerges_ » Migisi - Security systems (off topic) In response to Security systems (off topic) posted by _Boanerges_:. I've always had signs alerting folks to my audio/video security system. I still do. The cameras are still installed, though they're useless without a monitor. Thanks for the links. I'll check em out. Are they wireless? I didn't even think about Home Depot. Maybe Menards? -- posted by Migisi « Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
