Your God could giveth more and taketh less, IMO.

Romans 8:22: For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

One day... it will come... Glad all is well... happy

Until when? Paul said 'now' - that was present tense for him. Creation is still groaning despite Paul's 'until now'.

One day... it will come
.
"It" was supposed to have come already. In Mat 16:28, Mk 8:39, and Lk 9:27, Jesus allegedly told his apostles that the Kingdom of God would come to Earth before the last of them died. If it did come, where is it? I wanna visit.

Shall I add your name to this list of doomsday seers?

In response to Birds Of A Feather posted by pink101:

Wendell and I don't agree on everything, Phil. So, the "birds of a feather" comment only partly applies. Besides, I detect an attempt to lump, label, and therefore somehow discredit. Perhaps that is not your intent.

» Feature Writer Brian Tubbs - Seminaries

In response to NT Scholars posted by Migisi:

Saying that all seminaries are the same is like saying that all university history departments are the same. Migisi, you've seen how Pink and I debate the coverage/treatment of American history. Some scholars (like Zinn) take a very dim view of American history. Others (like Bill Bennett) take a very bright view of it. Likewise, seminaries run the gamut - some are Protestant, some evangelical, some Catholic, some are really not Christian at all.

Why does the fact that Wendell and I both believe in Jesus Christ warrant a "yellow light of caution"?

Actually, I hadn't been paying attention. Sorry.

As I understood it, seminaries promote belief in, and instruct on, the teachings of Jesus, and prepare students for the priesthood or ministry. I do understand that there are rabbinical seminaries which obviously aren't Christian. Yes, there are denomination-specific seminaries. But what does 'really not Christian' mean? Which denominations do you consider nonChristian? If they study and profess belief in the New Testament, they'd be Christian, right? Just curious.
.
Darn it. Off topic again.
