I think you express a strange and childish interpretation of what it means to believe in God.
I doubt anyone at this site would agree with you on a concept of diety. You don't appear to have one.
** Ignorance. The actions of a person who completely ignores reason in their thinking processes.
I don't ignore reason in any of my relationships. I attempt to try to balance my books because my wife likes me to make the mortgage payment every month, but that isn't what holds our marriage together. Logic doesn't drive most relationships. Logic isn't why I believe in God. It is important. But a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is all about discovering the spiritual and the supernatural heart of reality. You probably didn't have to prove to yourself that your wife existed before you claimed her. You experienced her. So it can be with God. You never mention God anymore. So I assume you haven't had any experiences with God. So it looks like you have quit the faith entirely. Isn't there anyone you trust when it comes to believing a testimony about God? Obviously, Noah strikes out. And me. You have no respect for Jesus' testimony. What is your purpose to be here at a faith site? You aren't open to hearing from people who have faith in God.

Noah's three sons - Shem, Ham and Japheth - will populate the entire earth. If this was true, we all should be semites. But, clearly, we're not.
It is not clear to me. But I only made C's in science. Maybe you could at least give a thought regarding the science and history of where the races came from. You are supposed to be putting something into your posts that give an alternate view if you come up with something tricky. Jeff is going quit reading this stuff if you go lazy on us. ABC.

Note "I now give you everything" in vs 3. This shows itself not to be true, given the prohibition against eating (even touching) 'unclean' animals (first mentioned in Gen 7:2).
I remember the day we discussed the dietary change in Acts 10 when Peter saw the animals let down in the great sheet. Because the dietary laws start and then stop and then start up again and then stop again in the church age would not mean an untruth occured.

I guess since you participated in the discussions of both chapters of Acts 2 and Acts 10, you remember the posting concerning the coming of the Holy Spirit into the lives of individual believers and the dispensation of Grace in the church age. Since you won't find the term 'church age,' in the bible, it makes for a rather lengthy discussion to mark the boundaries between the Old and New Covenants which included the freedom of new dietary laws for both Jew and Gentile. I think that is the best I can do on trying to answer you with a quick hip shot.

I played center for many years on a pretty good football team. I doubt that we can get into a really good diatribe about new age and mysticism with the likes of Migisi and me trading licks on Noah. I am very hesitant to do it. And Migisi appears a bit uncomfortable about the spirit world. The message of the bible is clearly marked with some special passages and doorways that built truth, layer upon layer. It isn't a compilation of legends and stories randomly selected for our listening pleasure. The 'untruth' that Migisis mentions is perhaps a series of doors and openings where she would sieze upon an idea that the bible isn't pure jibberish but a concentrated depot of dark issues devised to damage us all. That is why I am going to attempt to come back to the message that runs through all the stories about Grace and Redemption. Otherwise, we will get off into private interpretations of mystical literature that tends to isolate God into being a character who has lost any way of direct contact with a family of hard working folks who are attempting to pay their house payment and keep burgers in the fridge. These are those kind of people who have a tendency to ignore the programs on the history channel that deal with Bigfoot and UFO's and who would spend their hard earned thinking moments on the simple message that God sent His Son into the world to save us from sin and the grave.
Have you noticed that the concept of 'God' generally disappears in the thinking of those who practice new age religion and mysticism? You are a prime example. Me thinks.

How did I know that?

You do have a football mentality--no doubt.

Good feint! But, where's your end runner?
.
Yest, I have noticed those things--at least to some degree. It's not an absolute. But, the point that seems to be going right over your head while you're calling the plays for your team (no one seems to be responding) is that we live in the INFORMATION AGE.
.
It is reasonable during this time when information is so readily available that individuals begin to take a closer look at the stuff they've been feeding on for so long. So! We deconstruct almost everything that has been held sacrosanct for what seems like forever.
.
Even so, you're still wearing that old leather helmet when we have such hi-tech products available today. You like it back there in the dark ages, don't you?
