Your unclean and clean animal summary is truly, objectively fascinating.
.
Fun stuff, no? Thanks for noting my objectivity. (wink)
.
as to the range of animals that existed pre-flood?
.
Range as in region where they may have roamed? Or the gamut of animals which might have existed - some which are extinct today? Both... thanks to post-Flood global warming...
.
From the creationists:
CATASTROPHIC PLATE TECTONICS: A GLOBAL FLOOD MODEL OF EARTH HISTORY
http://www.icr.org/research/index/resear...
Post-Flood Climate
(quote) "By the time Flood waters had settled into the post-Flood basins, they had accumulated enough heat to leave the oceans as much as 20 or more degrees centigrade warmer than today's oceans. These warmer oceans might be expected to produce a warmer climate on earth in the immediate post-Flood times than is experienced on earth now. More specifically, a rather uniform warm climate would be expected along continental margins, permitting wider latitudinal range for temperature-limited organisms -- e.g. mammoths, frozen forests, and trees. This avenue in turn may have facilitated post-Flood dispersion of animals. Also expected along continental margins would be a rather high climatic gradient running from the ocean toward the continental interior. This might explain why some Cenozoic communities near the coasts include organisms from a wider range of climatic zones than we would expect to see today -- for example, communities in the Pleistocene and the Gingko Petrified Forest in Oregon."(end)
Could all animal sub species be traced back to one?
.
An intriguing question. Reduced down to each family (Jeffine) or genus (OZis)? Or reduced even further down to vertebrate and invertebrate? Or, yes, still further down to Adam's pet Fred ... a unicellular protists from the primordial sea? That would certainly be a space saver, wouldn't it.

» pink101 - Think About Baseball
In response to Think About Baseball posted by Brother_Jones:

You seem to think that Christians who go to church are highly organized into group think and action. Maybe that might be true for a few men and women who staff the church, but most Christians are simply oriented around their families. Church can make a difference but nothing like the family unit..
.
What we're discussing here is your relationship with those who do not happen to belong to your team as well as your relationship with those who do. I am sure you see them as two different sets of people. Certainly, christians are oriented around their families--did you think baseball players don't have families?
.
This seems to be the constant flag that you keep waiving. All us Christians follow all those rules by those in authority over us. It isn't reality. Maybe you are speaking of the type of traditional churches that are dying in your area of the country. Churches that dominate their folks and have little dictators in charge aren't growing and they aren't popular. There is just too much education out there and too many people looking these days for people to feel trapped into thinking they have few choices.
.
I was kind of hoping you could keep your mind on the analogy I'm using for you which is baseball. Answer these questions, "Do you believe your team is under a single authority--yes or no? Is there a great Baseball Commissioner in the Sky who is constantly watching over you? Do you try to play by his rules?"
.
You seem to believe that most Christians who post here are under the thumb of others. And that we are just playing out our lives in bondage to some preacher or pastor. You can't seem to understand that the Lord has countless people out there who read His word, pray everyday, and love Him, just because of who He is.
.
No, I don't think you are under any one's thumb nor do I think Wendell is under anyone else's thumb. And, I never implied that you are. What I am saying is that there are certain rules that you have learned from childhood--just like you've learned the rules of baseball from that first game you played. They have been internalized into your very being. You know your position just like everyone else knows their position. You ALL follow the rules of the game. It is NOT the preacher or pastor--that is just an other position that is being carried out like the pitcher on a baseball team.
.
What has happened here is that you've entered into a game with an opposing team. In your last post, you pitched a ball at me and I hit it and I'm on my way to first base. Let's see what you do with it.

Nope, even I understand Pink on that. Tis a constant flag he waves. ![]()
You are a good man to limit yourself to one or two comments in a religious setting. Those of us who chase off into the mission field of setting Christians straight or setting heretics on their bottoms, do so with the constant reminder that we have in some way left our true calling.

Uh, let's see here, I thought you were telling me that you didn't play according to the rules of some higher authority. Your post here sounds like your team has a little game of Hustle to warm up in making sure everyone can handle their position well.

Maybe I jumped to a false conclusion there.

What is the "constant reminder" you get and where does it come from? And, what is the "true calling"?.

Hi Pinky, I am going to be working my 'flip' house the next several days so my mind is divided, thinking of profits and the purchasing of new shoes and maybe some jewelry accessories. I do believe that every believer has the responsibility to share their belief and not so much their doubts. Every story in the bible can be chosen for a wrong time and wrong place sharing with the wrong folk. I am going to be painting today and sharing the time with a good friend in the faith. Hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving.
