Suite101 has appointed John Crandall as the new Feature Writer/Editor for American History. So, the site is "back up," including its discussion board.

Let's go ahead and take all POLITICAL and US HISTORY related issues (except those directly related to Protestant Christianity) over to John's section. It will help with his traffic and be more appropriate for that topic anyway. (We of course can continue to discuss America's religious history over here as well as perhaps in John's area - since that is definitely an area of overlap).

So be sure to drop in on American History and tell John 'hi' and 'congrats.'
