Seems the poor gambler looks to gaming for a 'get rich quick' remedy. In desparation to lift him/her self out of poverty? But they'll never beat the odds. Lady Luck shows up occasionally merely to keep them coming back for another hand. But the house always wins, and the obsessive gambler always loses.

The rich folk gamble, but differently... the stock market being their gaming casino.
