They've lost all their money on poker machines which are in every pub and club.

From my observations, an addict will gamble on the weather if there was no game machine handy. I've seen betting pools on how much snow will accumulate by a certain hour, or the date the snow will fly first. And out here in the farm community, they hold what's called "Cow Plop". It's hilarious. They paint squares in a cow pasture, and bet on which square the cow will poop in first. So, it's not the presence of a ~casino~ that poses a problem for a gambling addict.

But doncha think 'the all or nothing approach' or 'get rid of the others first' approach is unkind on decisionmakers? happy

Unkind, and unfun. happy
