Would it really take say 15,725 people working in cahoots to pull it off? One only has to read a few Ludlum books to realise how alibis and cover stories et al can be expertly manipulated within the covert industries of the world. Granted, these are sold as fictionalised events but isn't that a ploy to avoid being sued?

At the other end of the conspiracy spectrum is the claim there was absolutely nothing untoward in any of the responses nor in the official reportings. A belief in the possibility of a terrorism act is all that's needed now to shoot first, ask questions later. And that's a dramatic, arguably realistic, shift in US public policy. The old need for evidence, court rulings on innocence, normal imprisonment processes...is just so passe these days...when it comes to terrorism.

But isn't someone's conspiracy another's committee decision? And isn't the USA damned if it does and damned if it doesn't...protest too much....at conspiracy claims. As if the USA would ever admit to that level of 'error' or internal security weakness that enabled it to happen...if it did.
