I was reminded of these passages from the Bible:

Set your mind on God's kingdom [which is Goodness] and his justice [or freedom or righteousness] before everything else, and all the rest will come to you as well. (Mt 6:33)

A Buddhist might take this to mean: "focus on goodness in everything say or do or think, and everything else will also follow goodness."
.
The light [goodness] shines on in the dark, and the dark has never mastered it. (Jn 1:5)
