If Chavez is as horrible as the Heritage Foundation authors say and he is, the OAS (Organization of American States) would've excluded his government from participating in any OAS activities - like they did Cuba back in 1962. How do you explain that there has been NO initiative in that direction by any of the 35 OAS member countries - including the US - and OAS's 60 Permanent Observer Countries?

That speaks volumes about the people who berate him at every chance. Personally, I think Brian needs to take a deep breath before he posts another one of his hate messages against Chavez.

All I know about Chavez is what I see on the tube and read on the 'Net. It seems pretty clear to me that he is a majkor problem for capitalism.

This is really a good article, IMO. It outlines the threats Chavez poses to US corporacracies (oil and water) and the politicians who profit by them. No more 'business as usual'.
Worth the read.

I just reread my post, and it reads "as the Heritage Foundation authors say and he is", it sounds like I believe Chavez is a bad guy. It should've read "as the Heritage Foundation authors say he is"... remove the 'and'.

I haven't been just spewing out lines from those who want to murder Chavez. Once again, you show a propensity to categorize and one-dimensionalize those who disagree with you.

I am NOT a fan of Pat Robertson - not at all! And I'm NOT in favor of killing Chavez. And yet you and Migisi continue to associate me with him. This is both inflammatory and immature on your parts, frankly.

As to your question....

I strongly disagree with Chavez's economic philosophy (socialism) and political philosophy (totalitarianism). And I disagree with the friends he keeps - i.e., Fidel Castro. And I don't appreciate him coming on American soil and calling my President "Satan." And I don't like the fact that he tried to take power in the early 90s by means of violence and murder. And I don't like the fact that he continues to use violence and intimidation to maintain power. I could go on.

I also know personally a family that used to live in Venezuela and that had to flee to the USA for their safety in light of Chavez. I can't go into any more details than that - not without their permission. But, suffice it to say, I know a lot about Mr. Chavez.

The same kind of evidence is available for indictments against many of our presidents and you know that. You are no dummy when it comes to knowing such facts.

It's not that I think Wendell is the best source of information about such people as our president; but, he has done a lot of research on the 'Net that implicates Bush and company regarding what is known as the New World Order.

Perhaps Wendell will give us some links that can help you get a better grip on "your president".

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with showing support for political leaders. But, it's a good idea to be open to learning the facts of the matter.
