These are very difficult issues to discuss.

In order to do them justice, we would have to get to a secluded place away from any distraction where we could spend hours being exposed to the best thinkers on the subjects involved in a highly organized fashion. Then we would have to have a professional moderator lead us through directed discussions. The process would probably take place over a couple of weeks minimum. That's how the first serious discussions on biblical issues took place back in seventeenth century England.

Other than that, we take our best shots. By no means do our discussions here approach such a level; but, we do get to learn about our own biases and understandings and how others think about that. We shouldn't take things too seriously. I think that is one of the main problems here. If we were face to face and someone asked us how dumb we could get, we'd be able to laugh it off. But, here, we get to think our interactions are all life and death. The issues may be; but, our discussions are only going to settle things in our own minds. None of us has stumbled on to any earth shattering discoveries that I can tell.

By the way, a discussion about those early gatherings back in seventeenth century England would be quite interesting.
