Jerry Falwell is still dead. No heaven, no hell, no nothing.

Dead as a doornob. No brain function. His corpse is rotting, like his theology.

Bomb Plot Thwarted at Falwell's Funeral -
Student Arrested With Homemade Bombs, Three Other Suspects Sought

.
(snippets)
(Photo caption): "Virginia authorities arrested Liberty University [Falwell's college] student Mark D. Uhl after officials discovered several homemade bombs in the trunk of his car. (AP Photo/Hand Out)"
.
"A small group of protesters [Fred Phelps??] gathered near the funeral services to criticize the man who mobilized Christian evangelicals and made them a major force in American politics -- often by playing on social prejudices.
.
"A group of students from Falwell's Liberty University staged a counterprotest.
.
"And Campbell County authorities arrested a Liberty University student for having several homemade bombs in his car.
.
"The student, 19-year-old Mark D. Uhl of Amissville, Va., reportedly told authorities that he was making the bombs to stop protesters from disrupting the funeral service. The devices were made of a combination of gasoline and detergent, a law enforcement official told ABC News' Pierre Thomas. They were "slow burn," according to the official, and would not have been very destructive." (end)
.
.
Yeah, 'slow burn'... like napalm. What's in the water in Virginia?

So, it's okay to talk about him now?
.
heh heh
.
Personally or for what he proclaimed as his purpose in life?
.
I remember back in the late seventies when the Silent Majority was beginning to surface. They elected Ronald Reagan to the presidency and that was when the Bush family began to realize its ascendancy in America.
.
THAT does seem to be the more important historical point regarding what can be called Falwell's triumph.
.
BUT, after all is said and done, was it Falwell who pulled off the coup d'etat with which we are living today?
.
I think the Bush dynasty's rise to power was behind the entire period and that it was an extremely well thought out strategy that achieved the desired goal .
.
But, I'm a dreamer or a crazy--your choice.
.
:~)

Does anyone remember the behind-the-scenes-goings-on that got Bush to be nominated as Vice President to run with Reagan? Talk about dirty politics.
.
I do.
.
Interesting when we study history up to the point in time where we experience it.

In response to Jerry's kids build bombs posted by Migisi:

Outrageous. You've got one nut case - and you're making the assumption that "Jerry's kids" (and you make a point of the plural) are doing this kind of thing. Absolutely outrageous - but typical of the liberal tirades against all things Jerry Falwell.
