I'm gonna have to get me a motorcycle afore I die.
.
I had one for several years. I didn't enjoy being a passenger (control issue, dontcha know), so I bought my own. Back then, it was very uncommon to see a woman driving a motorcycle. It illicited some very interesting remarks.
.
I loved riding... except in the rain, hail, snow, wind, and 100 degree heat. And except in June bug, dragon fly, and wasp season (they don't taste good). And in traffic. You never realize how much stuff people toss out their car windows until you ride a motorcycle - or how many rocks a car tire can fling. I miss the ol' bike (and the young me).

Motorcycles are like horses--it seems to me.
.
You can ride a shetland, a quarter horse, a mustang, a percheron, or a clydesdale. They're all horses.
.
I think I'll get one of those $1,000.00 versions they sell at PepBoys to start.

Where I live, most towns have only one filling station - if they're lucky. Yesterday morning, I passed our station - their sign read $3.06. I ran an errand last night - their sign read $3.57. That's a 51 cent a gallon hike in less than 14 hours! Just in time to catch folks filling up before driving to Mom's house today. YEP... those dirty @#%$^**#@s GOUGERS!!
.
The GAS PROTEST is tomorrow (Monday). I won't be buying. I know it won't change anything, but what the heck.

I've never had anything but. No car nor any attempt at a car licence. My choice! I remember when all the LIFE of it was in the inclement weather and hairpin bends et al. I remember getting the "baby" bike, pre-helmet era with the wind rushing through the hair I then had. This is a full year for 'down memory lane' for me.

I was called a temporary Australian.
