I present what I believe, you present what you believe. So do Migisi, and BroJo and all the rest. In the process we might ALL put forth a different POV. Who cares who's right? Maybe you will persuade me to consider your POV, and maybe you won't. Maybe I will take *some* of your POV and discard, or alter, my POV.

Earlier on in this thread, Migisi and I were having a discussion in which we disagreed on several points. That's cool with me, and Migisi seems cool with it too. She doesn't have to genuflect and salute me as Great High Swami, and I seriously doubt she wants that from me. (wink to Migisi)

You soooo don't know me. I am a pacifist, not a wimp. And I am never, ever nice at the expense of myself, or what I hold dear.

Those who practice non-violence HAVE changed things without raising their voices *or* their fists. Its not pie in the sky. You might not agree with this, but it is a fact. And I'd appreciate it if you would stop thinking nice = doormat.

Have I told someone else what they must believe or how they must behave in order to be legitimate? Have I been disdainful? Or did I just lay it on the line to someone who was being a bully with me? Would I have been more acceptable if I had ignored the insults and not related with him any more? Should I have patronized him?

You had several posts on Monday that reflected some of the best thinking and writing that I have seen since joining here. I wanted to jump in and participate, but I just decided to listen to how you speak so well for the idea of spiritual involvement. I meant to say something earlier but I got busy watching baseball.
