A lifetime ago, this 'community' aka R & S caused me stress and sleepless nights.
I do remember some about your personal story of your youth and I often wonder if you would have traded it in for just a regular bad home environment as opposed to having many fathers and many mothers. There is a singularity that you carry with all your posts and it is noticiable and seems common to those who have been in some kind of war, or lived through some hell of sorts. And you carry yours very well. I find it very difficult to even talk about mine.

Not asking you to take sides, redback. I was simply agreeing what you said, and implicitly taking note of your innate good sense. My only expectation is that you will continue to be you. ![]()

Thanx, Migisi. I like to articulate my esetoric cogitations so will add that to my list for mixed company.
Brother-jones...maybe my posts are read at different levels here but then I've always been beyond Jeff101. I just don't keep count here AND find it hard to dissect my train of thought simply because someone puts a restricting topic heading up. ![]()
The other day, someone referred me to a 'Free Fuel' sign at the shops I never noticed. Now, I see they have in fact placed countless such signs throughout. EVERYWHERE I look. Kinda like the noisy dripping tap I hadn't heard before. Suite101 gets like that.

Well in some ways we all have to stick to our story or some story. lol.
And your story appears to be a head-on collision with Christian culture. And in that sense you have lots of associates here who are having some difficulty trying to come up with a history of any rules and standards when Brian asks about it. We don't want to see God as Law and Order, or as a mirror to the idea that we have not always loved and lived well, and given our children room to run and roam. But the idea of God becomes the image of the ultimate Soft One if it is going to have much air time and He is the One who comes to us to do our bidding and extends us something akin to Grace of which we are not sure why He or anyone could imagine such a boundary that would separate us from each other and from comprehending why Jesus came into the world.

Your turn. Maybe you could lay some groundwork as to how entire cultures will be built in the future on the idea that Survival of the Fittest and the world of Evolution will give us and our children a proper perspective on ourselves. How well have you studied your Darwin? Let's get into it.

If anyone is going to be honest in such a discussion, they MUST accept the Bible as a foundation and they MUST also accept the ancient Greeks as well.
Maybe as the starting point, but it seems like some folk here want to attempt to move beyond ancient script and religion and be sort of 'born again' Darwinists. And I am in agreement that they might have something worth the trouble to share. What does it mean when a person rejects the idea that they are created in the image of God? Or that they were created for some godly purpose? Does it mean to the average folk that all law and all morphing of our physical makeup is without any boundaries. We might be free to have our way with the weak, as long as we can logically explain that we believe that our species is important enough to save just like the Rainforest. When we get to Mars I think that there would be nobody there that would want to kill anybody for their unusual habits or when when they tried to start a church. Well maybe a couple of people. But they should be the ones who don't get to go to Mars, right? We should pick our star explorers from those who truly know their Darwin and they should have to take some sort of test or exam which obligates them to behave themselves in Space. Then we can remind them from time to time that they promised.

This thread is all about avoiding the other threads.
There are some among us who like to restate and pick and choose what has recently happened.
And God bless them (not like he blessed the Amalek children): That is their right.
Just seems a bit anal.
I like pie.
