Well, my perception is that you've been kicked around and that you've been badly hurt. I'm sorry for that; but, sometimes we need to go through the white waters of life just to get a better handle on how fortunate we are.

True. I've been through a lot in my life. But that was then. Now is good--challenging, but good, very good. In the things that really matter, I am incredibly wealthy.

Gradually, we learn that we're all in the same boat. There are those who want us to throw some of us overboard in favor of their own survival. You appear to be one who is trying to be helpful to everyone. You don't like to find fault. That characteristic can blind a person to danger.

I do like to help, and I like to approach people (and situations) with an open mind. But I don't hesitate to speak my mind with those who are close to me in my daily life. I am also very good at sizing people up. I've learned who not to trust.
.
You are not one of those here who try to present a false picture of their self.

As Popeye says, "I yam what I yam." No point in trying to be what I am not; the truth always comes out anyway.
