Ok--perhaps a better way to phrase my request would have been to explain that I would like this to be a neutral zone.

I am quite capable of walking away from anything which might be perceived as inflammatory (or otherwise negative) and still stay calm and unaffected. Obviously not everyone who posts here can do that (or wants to do that).

The truth is I'm quite weary of all the accusations and verbal jabs which have become so promonent here of late. Perhaps others are too. I don't see anything wrong with asking for a space in which people will behave themselves like reasonable, civil adults who respect one another's needs and feelings.
