Yesterday
.
two mourning doves sat on my front step, carrying on a musical conversation.
.
a robin checked out the maple tree outside my kitchen window. I hope she decides to make a nest in it.
.
later on, that same tree was filled with goldfinches--so many that the tree looked decorated with them.
.
I heard the calls and songs of chickadees, bluejays, cardinals, crows, and ravens.
.
Each one of these felt like a gift.
